What to Do in Phoenixville!

Phoenixville is such a great community to call home! Mornings can be filled with conversation as you awaken with coffee and breakfast at Steel City Coffee House. Take a walk in the much anticipated sunshine down bridge street. Lunch will be enjoyable at any of our great restaurants including Molly’s, Iron Hill or PJ Ryans. Take an afternoon to shop at some of our great shops including as I saw yesterday a break and cheese shop. My daughter will be thrilled a cheese shop is returning downtown! The evenings light up Bridge Street with entertainment at our area restaurants including bands and dancing!
Many other options are available including taking your puppy to the dog park, your children to Reeve’s Park, or a quiet afternoon at the Library. Take in all our area has to offer and if you do not already live here now may be the time to consider it!

Up Against the Clock

Time is running out! You must be under contract by April 30th, 2010 to take advantage of the tax credit. A wise warning…do not wait until the very end. If you wait until the end of April to go under contract and something happens that does not allow you to continue with the purchase such as an unknown short sale situation or a problem with inspections, you will not have enough time to find another home. If you are looking to take advantage of the tax credit you should have everything wrapped up by the end of March, 1st week of April at the latest!

Feng Shui in the Bedroom

A great way to feel refreshed and renewed is to bring Feng Shui into your home! It creates a harmonious feeling with every room .
A feng shui bedroom promotes a flow of nourishing and sensual energy. It invites you, lures you in, excites and calms at the same time. It is fun and pleasurable to be in. It’s simple to create a good feng shui bedroom with practical feng shui tools, some outlined below…
Let go of the TV, Computer and/or exercise equipment in your bedroom! The good feng shui energy in your bedroom is destroyed when these items are present.
Open the windows often and use a good quality air-purifier to keep the air fresh and full of oxygen. You cannot have good feng shui in the bedroom if the air you breathe in is stale and full of polluntants. Plants in the bedroom are not good feng shui unless your bedroom is fairly large and the plants are located far from the bed.
Create several levels of lighting in your bedroom or use a dimmer switch. Good appropriate lighting is very important as light is our #1 nutrient and one of the strongest manifestations of energy. Candles are the best feng shui bedroom lighting.
Use soothing colors to achieve a good feng shui balance in your bedroom. Feng Shui bedroom décor is a balanced décor that promotes the best flow of energy for restorative sleep as well as healing. The best feng shui colors for the bedroom are considered the so called “skin colors” which run from pale white to rich chocolate brown.

Could it Be Spring that I Hear and See?

Amazing birds are singing in the air this morning and as I look out to my yard I actually see, could it be, yes GRASS! Of course I am also seeing the leaves that I failed to rack up in the Fall and realize I have quite a task in front of me to get my home spruced up for the arrival of beautiful Spring! I admit I brought it into my home just a little early. Those beautiful Spring Tulips and Hyachins definitely attract me so I bought a few and placed them around my house. But amazingly as I look out of my sunroom I actually see the Hyacins that I and my daughters Brandi, Nikki and Amanda planted popping out from the ground! A true sign that Spring is right around the corner.
Spring brings with it renewal and unfortunately as I can see work! As soon as this weather breaks and I see warmer temperatures I will be outside racking those leaves I should have done in the fall! I’m also thinking I should paint my shudders, trim some of the trees that nature did not trim during our storms and perhaps even put a new walkway to my front door. Clean, Crisp and Fresh is the look I am going for this year. I am imagining two big colorful pots at my front door with perhaps colorful butterfly bushes inside to brighten that particular area. I can’t wait to fertilize my lawn to bring back that beautiful green color. I have an urge to change every door in my house and put new hardware on it. A spring cleaning top to bottom will definitely be in order, inside and out.
If you are selling your home all of those above items should be on your list! Make sure your home is clean, crisp and fresh to entice buyers to want your home!
